How to Make a Flat-Felled Seam - continued:

The personality of a flat-felled seam is enhanced by contrasting thread for a sporty look.

Stitch 1/8" in from the folded edge along the entire length of the seam.

And finally, stitch parallel to the original seam along entire length of flattened fold, 1/8” in from the edge of the first seam. Both lines of stitching can be seen on the right side of the fabric.
